What the difference of PTFE Extruded Rod & PTFE Molded Rod?

Hiwell offers a wide range of sizes of high quality extruded and molded PTFE rods. Our molded rods are available in virgin PTFE, modified PTFE and PTFE compound materials. The high quality PTFE rods are commonly used in machined components.

  • Virgin PTFE – 100% vingin PTFE material,excellent thermal, chemical, and electrical resistant properties.
  • Modified PTFE – PTFE modified to exhibit superior physical properties.
  • PTFE Compounds – PTFE blended with specific additives to suit specific applications.

PTFE Extruded Rod:

Material:100% virgin PTFE.

Available in below sizes:

  • Diameters: 4mm to 250mm.
  • Regular Lengths: 1000 mm, 2000mm
  • Customers requirements.

PTFE Molded Rod:

Material:Virgin PTFE, Modified PTFE, PTFE compounds(Bronze, carbon, graphite…)

Available in below sizes:

  • Diameters: 6mm to 600mm.
